First let me tell you who I'm not. I'm not a registered securities broker, bond dealer, planner, guru or financial prophet. If you came looking for the Holy Grail to investing, it doesn't exist. Sorry
I am CEO of Christian Traders and the Senior Editor. I am also the CEO of a private company that works with recovering addicts and alcoholics, and from the profits of that company along with the support of some very dedicated Christian brothers and sisters, we operate an orphanage in Uganda, a mission in Mexico and a home for abused women and children here in the U.S.
Last but not least, in fact first, I'm a Pastor.
So why is a Pastor writing a financial column you ask? Because I believe in Prosperity for God's People. One of the most misquoted scriptures in the Bible says "money is the root of all evil'. Wrong! What it says is that "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil". Big difference huh?
Did you know that money is mentioned more times in the Bible than heaven or hell? Jesus posed a very deep question to us all, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world if he loses his soul?"
There is nothing, nothing (did I say nothing?) wrong with a Christian having a nice home, a nice car, a few dollars in the bank and a wonderful life. It was Jesus' greatest desire that we should "Prosper and be in good health".
But he also warned us that "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap". It's an immutable law like gravity. You can deny it exists but walk off of a tall building and see what happens.
As in the parable of the servants who the master gave each a number of talents to invest, God expects us to invest that which he has given us. The one servant who hid his talent under a rock out of fear, was the only one punished.
This doesn't mean God is calling you to invest in stocks, bonds or mutual funds. What he is really calling all of us to do is to invest in human lives. There is no greater ROI than to see a human life changed and given hope. For those who do possess market savvy, then perhaps you may have realized as I did, that the profits I take out of the markets can be used to build God's Kingdom.
In doing so, I fulfill God's purpose for my life and I am able to give many the most precious gift of all: HOPE! And the incredible part, is that whatever I sow, I reap. It's an amazing concept. As you shovel it out, God shovels it right back in. And because he is God, he's got a bigger shovel.
So there you have it. A thumbnail sketch of the philosophy behind Christian Traders. Now the way this board works is as follows:
#1) If a separate board has been created for a company, that means I am deeply invested in that company and have great expectations for the future.
#2) Companies that I alert you to through the daily column - "Today’s selections" are undervalued, productive, profitable entities that I believe have extreme upside potential both in the short-term and long-term.
#3) I do not offer entry and exit prices on the board, that is for you the individual investor to decide after doing your own due diligence, or you may choose to subscribe to our "Real-Time" data delivery.
#4) Should there be some drastic change in the underlying fundamentals of a company I have alerted you to, I will do my best to bring it to your attention.
#5) While my alerts may work extremely well for Day-Trading, Swing-Trading and Momentum Trading, my main objective is to alert you to stocks which if added to your portfolio will bring the greatest reward over a period of time, usually within 60 days. What you do with these alerts is entirely up to you.
#6) I may or may not hold a position in any alert I post. If I have created a board for a company, you know that I am in for the long haul. One exception to this rule might be CMKX. It was fun to buy a million shares for $300.00 I just couldn't resist. Now I own 7 million. Are there diamonds there? I don't know. You may not always like what I tell you, but I will always tell you the truth. CMKX is pure entertainment for me.
#7) I have not been paid in cash or stock to promote any company listed here. No amount of money or stock can purchase a position in the CT Portfolio.
#8) If you're looking to get rich overnight, I wish you the best and hope you'll share how you did it. If you're looking for great investment ideas to help build God's Kingdom, you've come to the right place.
#9) As time permits, I will post my selections each evening before midnight P.S.T. In certain circumstances I may post a mid-day alert.
#10) If you need prayer or counseling, please go to our prayer board. We have a team that gathers each day and we will lift up your need or circumstance before the Father. The only cost for this service is that you promise to come back to the board and post a Praise Report when God gives you the breakthrough. Fair enough?
That's about it. I'm glad you're here, and I look forward to getting to know you all as time progresses.
Blessings
