Tombraider - I understand your system but I think you are opening yourself up to a lot of tax liability. My advice (you are getting what you are paying for is to have them open an account at the same broker you use. Please say you use etrade-they make it easy. SOme brokers have exorbitant fees so hopefully you don't have one of those. Then when the stock runs you transfer their shares into their account. If you think they will miss a price spike then sell a portion of yours (if you have more than just what you want short term) in place of theirs at that price and figure it out from there. They will get taxed on their sells at their tax rate if it is in their own accounts. It should work out a lot better for everyone. It is about $40 to transfer shares to people or charities. I have a ton of extra shares so I will sell some at good prices while transferring some friends and family member's shares. If the price then tanks I will have sold enough to give them a good profit on their shares if they would prefer the money (after taxes) to the shares in their accounts. I think this is the best way to handle this unless you are talking about extremely small numbers of shares. They could resend the shares back to me or we can work out the math. I only did this for my Mom and stepDad, a close friend, and my housekeeper who I gifted 100K shares at Christmas. If it turns out very well I will have her open an account and if not I will give her whatever cash the average sell price I take is. I also bought some shares for a wedding gift coming up and will have the couple open an account at Etrade to get them. This could turn out to be a nice gift. Ihope so. God Bless-Debi I think anything over 300K shares is worth opening a seperate account for. IMO -Talk with someone familiar with your tax situation-your tax attorney or accountant for his advice. -Debi

ALH You mention exit points for various people, however you did not mention quantitys. That"s OK, but it is what I call ((First Tier thinking)all and/or nothing). My recommendation is to ladder your sells. sure .08??? maybe possible, but it is also possible won't reach that all that soon. SO Example: You have 1,000,000 shares at a cost of .0002 Your GTC sell might look like this: 10,000 @ .02 you are now free 50,000 @ .05 you are now into a $2500 profit -------Now of course you are carefully watching 40,000 @.10 another $4000 profit ------- Still have 900,000 left right ? No point in extending this now ,but you get the idea. NOW I have several accounts and may use only one to get free on , another to do some profit. I also use JVP's in the same manner. I know it gets very complicated, but the more you know and can do the better chance that you will succeed. REMEBER The money you have already made is far more important than money you MIGHT make in the future, so time given to retaining and growing it is VERY important. There is ample scripture to back this concept. Good Luck VAN

Debi,
I use Etrade and I am going to set my daughter up with her own Etrade account. If I transfer shares into her account, how long are those shares tied up in the process. Are they unavailable to be sold for a few weeks during the transfer process or are they available to be sold immediately.
Also, I take it I can specify which shares I want to transfer into her account as far as when I purchased them. Is that correct? I bought some last week and those are the ones I want to tranfer to her. TIA

Hi Sanderra, I am not sure. I think an internal transfer could happen within 24 hours but I don't know if it then is subject to a 3 day settlement time. You could ask customer service.
I haven't done any transfers yet since I am waiting to see what kind of value CMKX proves to have. At the present price I preferred to spend any money on more stock instead of incurring costs. I don't know if there is a cost for transferring stock from one etrade account to another but if it was even $30, that would buy 100,000 shares.
For Everyone, We are trying to use this top thread with level two as a running commentary similar to the Allstocks board and to post Level II.
I hope as people get used to the running commentary as a way to get their questions answered quickly the participation on this part of the board will pick up and we will get to know each other better.
Java Great Day-Time for more coffee-Debi

Well, maybe not good news, but over 4 billion trades already this morning and most of them at .0002 Probably manipulation by the MMs, as there just couldn't be very many people wanting to sell at this rate ahead of the dividends being issued. The good news is that it seems to have stablized back at .0003 Something must be up. We'll see.

It has settled down now and steady threes. The tremendous volume early has taken the volume readings off the chart for my Alphatrade, so I will have to search around for the volume the rest of the day.

Hi Noah, the volume is funky on OTCcharts today too.
I was just over at allstocks to look for any hot moving stocks from Dardadog. I should have gone there earlier he had one or two but it was too late to get in on.
I checked the allstocks CMKX thread and Oh, my goodness, what a mess. Wally, will, glass, and a few other bashers camped out. I am thinking an offshore hedge fund interest may be involved for one of those people-maybe two. I didn't think they were that sophisticated but it is possible. I can't think the $8 -$12 an hour to bash would be the appeal. It is sad for anyone who wants to get some good advice. I am not posting there as WWJD as the attacks are not worth it. Glass was agreeing with Wally about using religion to pump a stock. I didn't take the bait. IMO-Debi

WOW, 315,000 share buy on UCAD at $4.70. The float is only 900+K. So someone just bought about a third of the float. Something going on there too. IMO

I get the powere ETrade so the price is good @ 9.99. Thankyou all so much. MTDN went from .17 to .02 yesterday and hit .04 this morning, 100% bye for now AL

That looks right. Some boards have a running count. Thank Tombraider. Van is away until Monday AM I think. Good for you for buying more CMKX. I have to wait until I make some money on some trades. I bought some MOBL yesterday in 2 accounts and only sold it in one thinking it should run soon. I hate it when they go down and you watch profit melt. I think the letter from their CEO was good news and expect this to run. If it hits .19 or less again I will buy and if it hits .16 I will buy more. This company is smartly adding revenue generating companies to its roster. IMO-Debi

Zen's take on todays strange happenings In reply to: None Date:10/1/2004 12:49:59 PM Post # 15274 tinyurl.com/533ujVERY STRANGE UCAD currently double the highest volume it has seen since becoming UCAD in January ... and there's still over 3 hours left in trading. Sudden explosion of CMKX volume this morning also unusual. Highly unusual trading activity. Let's hope we get some clarity on all this soon. I do feel something good is brewing. Let the MM shuffling and games continue. The END GAME is all that counts. Z As always, these are my personal opinions. Hopefully nobody in here is investing anything but "fun" money that they can afford to gamble with. www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=4179352
