Etrade is showing the CIM dividend as AMEX now. Before it said tender offer. This is interesting as usual. -Debi

Saw that too. I wonder what that could mean? I heard something about shorting and AMEX and that there was different rules as opposed to the pinks. Can anyone elaborate on that?

Just so everyone can see how ETrade lists it:
CMKM DIAMONDS INC _001412350 NASDAQ SC CMKM DIAMONDS INC CMKX OTC CMKM DIAMONDS INC RESTRICTED #9068741 Unknown CMKM DIAMONDS INC TENDER OFFER 125809996 AMEX

i see the same thing as well, maybe they have our CIM confused with the high yield CIM on AMEX? if so you would think eTrade would know the difference?

When cmkm was reporting it was on the board. When it went non-reporting it came off and went to the pinks and later became cmkx. I believe this is old information that has not been updated.

I just went to AMEX website and entered CMKX. It did come up as CMKX.PK Not sure what this means, Has anyone done this prior to R.Glenn ? In other words is this a change of status, inadvertantly, subtely intentions exposed ? VAN

Van, I think that the symbol has always been that if you try to access a quote from, for example, yahoo finance. They tell you cmkx is incorrect and suggest using cmkx.pk. Don

There are definitely 2 ways of seeing the CIM. You all mentioned ETrades listing. Ameritrade shows this: CMKM DIAMONDS INC CASAVANT RESTRICTED

Van, The suffix ".PK" in our symbol "CMKX.PK" isn't unusual. I've seen it a lot on many different stocks on various quoting services as Donman mentioned. For instance, DMXP.PK, UCAD.OB, SGGM.PK, GEMM.PK, FNVG.OB (a financial service). This from Investopedia.com -- "Suffixes appended to the end of a stock symbol represent foreign exchanges." (except as noted below). A list of suffixes is located at www.investopedia.com/offsite.asp?URL=http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/fin/quote/quote-19.html. - PK = Pink Sheets
- OB = OTC Bulletin Board Market
- V = Vancouver Stock Exchange
- ...
Suffixes aren't used for stock on NYSE, Nasdaq & AMEX. Hope this is helpful. ;D ;D ;D Terry

I think what is unusual is that typing CMKM into the quotes and research at Etrade gets 4 or more possible CMKX related companies and divvys. The new CIM looks to be going to the AMEX. The regualar CMKX is there and there is a restricted CMKM stock. Then one that is CMKX nasdaq SC or symbol change. This makes me think a possible roll up IPO is proposed and filed.
Still in the dark. I did buy a little more yesterday but I think I am done at this point. This looks like it will be so good that I will have trouble even giving away the amount of money I expect from this. I will be calling the tax specialist again and will see about a radio interview with him. God Bless and let's pray for wisdom on how to invest in general and how to invest the proceeds in the kingdom of God.
We also really will need to have godly counsel on the tax ramifications of how and when we sell and how and what we give away. I am assuming if this hits .50 or better as a settlement many will be giving this to friends and family, tithing, giving to various charities and ministries. There are as many ways to plan for taxes as their are ways to spend it so it is not too early to be looking for a competent tax consultant, IMO-Debi

Is there anyway to tell when the symbol was filed and is being held?

Re: CMKX CIM on AMEX? « Reply #13 on: Today at 09:29:20 » <br> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is there anyway to tell when the symbol was filed and is being held? I found on Power E*Trade where the symbol was changed from CMKM to CMKX, effective March 04, 2004, but could not locate when the original symbol was filed.
