Greetings,
Tension mounted rapidly this morning among New York's Finest, as soon as the news broke:
"Human Heart Found on Wall Street"
Every Gold Shield from the NYSE to the Brooklyn Bridge lined up for the case, until as Paul Harvey would put it, they read "the rest of the story". They all sheepishly holstered their palm pilots and went back to drinking really bad coffee and chasing perps.
I hope you're having at least half as much fun as I am. If you are, you're blessed 'till eternity and then some. You guys wrote some excellent posts today. It's like watching all the gears of a well oiled machine slowly beginning to turn. Efficient, effective, awe-inspiring.
I mentioned a few columns back that we had a new columnist coming aboard. It is with great honor tonight that I introduce to you, the newest online staff member of Christian Traders:
WWJDthrume
She's a lady who needs no introduction as her reputation precedes her, both as a shinning example of a living epistle, and as a savvy trader with a unique strategy and innovative ideas. You've been enjoying her posts for awhile, but now in addition, she'll be bringing you an editorial commentary on a regular basis. Her column is called "Grace Notes" and I know it will probably become the first place you check when you hit the board. Give her a warm Christian Traders welcome.

Thank you.
Moving right along, we had a call from a Christian clothing merchandiser today who thought you would all like to be seen about town in Official "Christian Traders" hats and t-shirts. I think she's right, so let's get interactive. Whoever designs the best logo/slogan that defines who we are in a Christian / market context, will win 1 Dozen free T-Shirts and 1- Dozen free Hats. Beware of copyright infringement. I'll start a topic on the General Board called T-Shirt Contest, and you can post your best work. Once we have 100 entries, you can all vote for the winner.
You may cast only one vote for yourself.
I make it a point to never call anyone a loser, but those of you who don't win, (losers) will be able to purchase them at a very reasonable price.
Our new columnist was counseling some folks online today regarding the party in Vegas. She also revealed her arrangement to provide a hospitality suite for you and her vision for World Vision. Unfortunately, I can't be there based on the current schedule. I'm leaving for Africa on October 23rd. However, if the party happens, I will make arrangements for a banquet hall, exclusively for Christian Traders members. Our Christian Coffee House in Phoenix - sweetdaddys.org is overflowing with musical talent. I'll send up a couple of bands, some Contemporary Christian, some Praise & Worship, maybe even a Christian Rock Band. So there's my contribution. If the Africa schedule changes, I'll be there to meet you all in person. I'll send a couple of good preachers to encourage you also.
Note: This is not rumor or speculation. I wrote it, so you can bank it.
Tonight the bias seems to be neutral.
Uh-oh. When everybody expects nothing to happen, something usually does. I did notice something else. We know that prices haven't spiked lately, but the gap between price and value is narrowing. Not bullish. The very basic foundation of every selection I bring you is that it must be extremely undervalued. These were tough to find tonight.

Between the Lines
Jesus said, " The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." --John 10:10
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13
Are you ready for a new beginning today? The first thing you need to do is realize the thief (the devil) comes to kill and destroy, but Jesus came so you can have life and life abundantly (See John 10:10). That abundant life is received by accepting Jesus as the Lord of your life. It does not have to be difficult. The Bible simply says, "Who ever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
God has already paid the price for your sins. He has already suffered. He has already borne the sins of the whole world. All you have to do is accept His forgiveness. Some people say, "you're giving people a license to sin when you say that." However, when you really know God, you do not want to sin. When you know God, you want to please Him. Accepting Jesus into my life means that my sins have been forgiven, I have good news to tell the world, and one day I am going to heaven to spend eternity with all those who have gone before me. Because of all God has done and continues to do, I desire to live a holy, godly life.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. --John 3:16-18
Want to do something different tomorrow? Want to grow spiritually? When you wake up, chose the one person in your life who has harmed you the most. When lunch time comes, don't go to Mickey D's. Go somewhere quiet, alone. Spend the hour praying for that person instead of eating.
(do not attempt this if you are diabetic or have other health conditions)
It will be the greatest Power-Lunch you've ever had.
You'll feel light-headed all afternoon. I promise.
OK! That's it. Turn off the computer and get some rest. Those bags under your eyes, they don't look like Gucci to me.
Blessings
