As I mentioned in another post in the CMKX forum, I am new to investing. As a computer programmer, I am familiar with acronyms such as LOL, BRB, ROFL, EOM, etc. But many times I read though a financial post and have no clue what it really means. I've picked up new acronyms like PPS, O/S, A/S, but really still don't understand everything I see.
Are there books to read, websites to frequent, and a list of common investing abbreviations and terms that I could read and start teaching myself new things? I really want to get a handle on this stuff so I can understand more of what I am doing and perhaps invest more in the future.
Thanks.

There really isn't anywhere to go to learn these things that I know of, maybe though. You'll just start picking things up the longer you are involved in these types of things...
PPS - Price Per Share O/S - Outstanding Shares
